Arg!!

Hmmm, I'm not feeling too convinced about this diet!

I've been on it for a month and don't have much to show for it! Had an awesome first week, went pretty hard in the second week and lost a very small amount. Then went to sevens in Wellington and that weekend was just sking for trouble so lost no weight. Got back into it for the next week and not noticing much difference - in fact I am thinking that the only difference is due to the bootcamp I'm going to at 6am every week day (just finished my 3rd week).

I never thought I was an emotional eater but because I feel I'm not really getting the amazing results others seem to get (and been pretty good and sticking to the diet) I now feel even less inclined to stick to it (hence eating a small piece of carrot cake today at work)!

Is this actually worth sticking to?

All people are different with weightloss.
Results vary. You have only been on it for 4 weeks, and thats not strictly on it. If you want to see the results you have to put in the hard work.
Tony Ferguson is an easy diet. Because 2 meals out of the day are conveniant and on hand. You only have to worry about dinner. If you went on other diets you would have to prepare 3 healthy meals a day-measuring,going shopping for the ingrediants. Tony Ferguson is great if you have a busy life. I went on it before my wedding and lost 7kgs. Im going to go back on it-ive had a baby so put it back on :)
    Good luck

The thing with Tony Ferguson is that you really have to be all or nothing.  I've found that in the past even the slightest deviation from the programme affects my weight loss, and it sounds like you've been messing around with it quite a bit! :-)  I know it's hard but if you put in the work, you will get the results.  Try the chromium tablets to curb those sweet cravings!!

Don't go on a fad diet. They DON'T work. The best diet that has worked for me is to eat less and move more. Even if it is tkaing a 30 minute walk every night..you are still moving.Just eat healthy. You don't have to go completely organic and stick to salads, chicken, fruits, and veggies. There are lots of healthy foods out there. 97% fat free hot dogs and a whole wheat hot dog bun isn't what most people would define as eating healthy, but it isn't fatty and fits into my diet so I eat it.Buy a gym membership. If you can't do that then simply start jogging in the morning, or go for a 45 minute morning walk or hike. What is great about doing that is you can do it with your daughter. Put her in a stroller and go walking or jogging with her. Or have someone watch her and go on a hike with a friend. You can also ride a bike, swim, or jump rope. There are so many ways of being active and it is actually really fun. Buy dumbbells and other exercise equipment and tapes if you can't go to a gym. Here is a diet plan:Eat 1,500 calories, 35 grams of fat (as little of saturated fat (the bad fat) as possible..and ZERO trans fat), about 200 grams of healthy carbs, and lots of protein. Your body burns about 1,200 calories a day just living. The number goes up when you start getting active. So if you start moving around more you will burn more than you consume.Don't go on a low carb diet. Your body NEEDS carbs..they are your bodies main source of fuel. Want to know why people lose so much weight so fast on a low carb diet? Because they are losing water weight not fat. When they eat a normal diet they will gain all that weight back. Eat complex carbs from whole wheat products, fruits, and vegetables. You can have sugar on a diet but try to restrict it as much as possible. Try to get only about 10 grams of granulated sugar in a day. Don't worry about natural sugar from dairy products, fruits, and vegetables. After a few weeks of losing weight (like when you hit a 15 pound weight loss mark) you could start having a splurge day once a week where you eat something you are craving. Most people do this because it is motivating, it doesn't affect your weight if it is just one day, and it helps keep you from binging.Make yummy healthy food. SparkRecipes has a lot of good healthy recipes..they also have the nutrition facts included with them. You can replace a lot of things with healthy options. Fat free milk and cheese instead of the full fat version. Egg beaters or egg whites (egg beaters taste better) instead of eggs. Fat free cream cheese and whole wheat bagels instead of full fat cream cheese and regular bagels. Look around at the grocery store and you will see that there are lots of healthy options. You don't need to do some ridiculous diet like low-carb, pickle diet, grape fruit diet, etc..Just move more and eat healthy. Having a healthy lifestyle can be fun. I hope I helped Good luck!
